BuyForKart respects intellectual property rights and expects its customers, sellers, vendors, suppliers, partners, and other users to respect the intellectual property rights of others.

2. BuyForKart’s Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the BuyForKart name, logo, website design, original content, graphics, text, layouts, features, software, and other original materials created by or for BuyForKart may be protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

3. Third-Party Trademarks

4. Seller and Vendor Content

- Videos
- Logos
- Promotional material
- Other product-related content
Sellers and vendors are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights, permissions, licences, or authorizations to use and upload such content.
5. Seller Responsibility
A seller or vendor must not upload or use content that:
- Infringes another person’s copyright
- Misuses another company’s trademark
- Copies another seller’s protected content without permission
- Uses unauthorized product photographs
- Uses counterfeit brand names or logos
- Misrepresents an affiliation with a brand
- Violates patent, design, or other intellectual property rights
- Violates applicable law
BuyForKart may request proof of authorization or ownership where appropriate.
6. Product Images and Descriptions
Product images and descriptions must accurately represent the products being offered.
Sellers should use images and content that they own, have created, or are legally authorized to use.
Uploading a photograph, description, logo, or other material does not automatically give the seller ownership of that material.
7. Copyright Complaints
If you believe that content available on BuyForKart infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, you may contact BuyForKart with sufficient information for us to review the complaint.
A complaint should generally include:
- Name of the rights holder
- Contact information
- Identification of the copyrighted or protected work
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material
- Location of the material on BuyForKart
- Explanation of the claimed infringement
- Evidence supporting ownership or authorization, where applicable
- A statement confirming that the information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge
8. Trademark Complaints
If you believe that a BuyForKart listing improperly uses your trademark, brand name, logo, or other protected mark, please provide:
- Name of the trademark owner
- Contact details
- Trademark or registration information, where applicable
- Identification of the disputed listing or content
- Explanation of the alleged infringement
- Supporting documents or evidence
- Information demonstrating your authority to make the complaint
BuyForKart may review the complaint and take appropriate action where required.
9. Patent and Design Rights
Sellers and vendors must ensure that products, product designs, packaging, promotional materials, and listings do not unlawfully infringe applicable patent or registered design rights.
Where a valid complaint is received, BuyForKart may request supporting documentation and take appropriate action.
10. Review and Investigation
After receiving an intellectual property complaint, BuyForKart may review the information provided and may request additional documentation.
Depending on the circumstances, BuyForKart may:
- Contact the seller or vendor
- Temporarily restrict a listing
- Remove or disable content
- Request additional information
- Restrict an account
- Suspend selling privileges
- Take other appropriate action
The action taken will depend on the nature of the complaint, available evidence, applicable law, and the circumstances of the case.
11. Counterfeit Products
BuyForKart does not permit the sale or promotion of counterfeit products.
Sellers must not list products that falsely represent themselves as genuine branded products.
Additional requirements are described in the BuyForKart Prohibited Products Policy and Seller/Vendor Policy.
12. Repeat Infringement
Where appropriate, BuyForKart may take additional action against users or sellers who repeatedly receive credible intellectual property complaints.
Such action may include:
- Listing removal
- Listing restrictions
- Account restrictions
- Suspension
- Termination of selling privileges
- Other measures permitted by applicable law
13. False or Misleading Complaints
Intellectual property complaints should be made honestly and in good faith.
Providing knowingly false, misleading, fraudulent, or incomplete information may result in appropriate action.
BuyForKart may request evidence to verify the legitimacy of a complaint.
14. Content Licence Granted by Sellers
Where necessary for operating the BuyForKart marketplace, a seller or vendor may grant BuyForKart permission to use seller-provided content for purposes such as:
- Displaying product listings
- Processing and fulfilling orders
- Marketing and promoting listed products
- Operating the marketplace
- Customer support
- Advertising the seller’s products
- Improving platform functionality
The specific rights granted may be governed by the applicable seller agreement or platform terms.
Sellers remain responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights to grant such permissions.
15. User-Submitted Content
Customers may submit reviews, ratings, photographs, comments, questions, or other content.
Users should only submit content that they own or are legally authorized to submit.
By submitting content to BuyForKart, the user must not knowingly violate another person’s intellectual property rights.
Use of user-generated content may also be subject to the applicable BuyForKart Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
16. Copyrighted Material
Users must not upload, reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit copyrighted material through BuyForKart without appropriate authorization.
This includes unauthorized:
- Books
- Images
- Videos
- Music
- Software
- Digital files
- Articles
- Designs
- Product photographs
- Other copyrighted works
17. Brand Authorization
Where a product is represented as belonging to a particular brand, sellers may be required to provide appropriate information or documentation demonstrating authenticity or authorization.
BuyForKart may request such information where necessary to protect customers, brands, and the marketplace.
18. Affiliate and Third-Party Content
BuyForKart may display links, product information, trademarks, images, or other materials belonging to third-party retailers, marketplaces, brands, affiliate partners, or service providers.
Such materials remain the property of their respective owners unless otherwise stated.
Use of third-party material is subject to applicable permissions, licences, agreements, or legal rights.
19. Reporting Intellectual Property Issues

20. Temporary Removal of Content
Where appropriate, BuyForKart may temporarily remove, restrict, or disable disputed content while an intellectual property issue is being reviewed.
Removal of content does not necessarily constitute a final determination regarding ownership or infringement.
21. Seller Response and Appeal
A seller whose listing has been restricted or removed may provide relevant documentation, authorization, invoices, licences, or other evidence where appropriate.
BuyForKart may review the information provided and determine whether the listing or account should remain restricted or be restored, subject to applicable law and platform policies.
22. Cooperation With Rights Holders
BuyForKart may cooperate with legitimate rights holders, competent authorities, courts, law-enforcement agencies, payment providers, logistics partners, or other relevant parties where legally required or appropriate.
23. No Waiver of Legal Rights
Nothing in this policy is intended to waive or limit any intellectual property rights or legal remedies available under applicable law.
BuyForKart may take action beyond this policy where required by law.
24. Policy Changes
BuyForKart may update this Intellectual Property Policy from time to time.
Changes will become effective when the updated policy is published on the website unless a different effective date is specified.
